The Best Areas in the Val Thorens Valley
Val Thorens, real name Belleville, is the third valley that makes up the Three Valley Ski area. It is the highest valley in the ski area and home to the Val Thorens ski resort, the highest in Europe. Val Thorens (with the exception of St Martin) couldn't be further from the other two valleys in terms of its traditional alpine charm, however, what it lacks in charm, it makes up for by often having the best snow conditions and piste access, with the vast majority of properties throughout the valley being purpose built on the slopes.
Val Thorens 2300
This resort has become one of the most popular ski destination in Europe, thanks to its almost always guaranteed great snow conditions throughout the season. Val Thorens 2300 is home to some of the best skiing, apres and nightlife, not only in the Three Valleys, but in the Europe.
Val Thorens 2300 is ideal for those that want to have the ultimate ski holiday experience, from the immediate access to some of the best skiing in the world, to partying the night away into the early hours of the morning. It is only two lifts over to the Meribel Valley and then one more over into the Courchevel Valley.
Val Thorens is a purpose built resort with almost all of the accommodation being self-catered apartments or hotels that have been built on the slopes, offering guests a true ski-in/ ski-out experience.

Les Menuires
Les Menuires is an excellent resort within itself with plenty of skiing, great restaurants and lots to do when you aren't skiing. It is a great resort for beginners and famillies as the resort mostly consists of green and blue pistes, however, when you get higher up you will also find some of the best red and black pistes in the Three Valleys.
With excellent access to Meribel within two lifts and Courchevel within three it is a great place to stay for exploring everything the World's largest ski are has to offer.

Saint Martin de Belleville
One of the prettiest resorts in the Three Valley ski area, St Martin has managed to keep its traditional alpine charm. Saint Martin de Belleville is home to some excellent restaurants and bars, small supermarkets and sovenier shops. It has everything you need for a great self-catered ski holiday.
Although, the lowest resort in the Val Thorens valley it is incredibly easy to get out of the village and explore other areas in the Three Valleys using the bubble lift and express chairlift. From the top of the chairlift, you can ski straight down into Meribel or Les Menuires, or within a couple of lifts be in Val Thorens.
Saint Martin de Belleville has seen a lot of development over recent years, however, that hasn't taken away from the charm of the resort. You will find a wide range of accommodation in St Martin, from self-catered apartments to large stand alone fully-catered chalets.
