Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe, this means it regularly has the best snow conditions. The base of the resort is at 2300 metres and it is part of the Three-Valleys which is the biggest ski resort in the world. The lifts in Val Thorens open in November and close in May. The lifts in the rest of the Three-Valleys are open from December till April.
